Now would ideally be the best time for de-cluttering - in order to make room for any new possessions which may come your way for Christmas but, that said, who has the time or inclination for such things during the mad few weeks leading up to the festivities? Certainly, not me! So, why not make it one of your new year's resolutions - to begin 2007 as you mean to go on - well on the way to being organized and clutter free?
There is something satisfactorily therapeutic about sorting out your stuff and clearing out your junk. A good maxim is - for every one thing which comes into your home, one, or preferably two, should go out - this doesn't of course include husbands or children, tempted as we might sometimes feel to throw a few out! It does unfortunately also seem to include money in our house, particularly at the moment!
I'd love to know what you think of this blog and in the coming weeks, I hope people will want to share their de-cluttering and home staging tips.
Here's a couple of tips to be going on with :-
When getting your home ready for sale, ask yourself - "Would I want to buy this house?" If the answer is "No way!" then do something about it!
Remember - if something is neither useful nor decorative - get rid of it.
